About Our Mechanical Engineering Services Team

Design and engineering of building systems — new and existing

RoMar is a mechanical consulting engineering firm operating out of Durham Region with projects stretching across the GTA and much of Ontario. The company is owned and operated by two female professional engineers — Jolanta McKay and Margaret Edwards. Together, they have a combined 35 years of experience working in the building services industry.

RoMar’s work involves the design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for new and existing buildings. RoMar offers a full range of engineering services including design, construction administration, energy audits, commissioning, re-commissioning, energy modeling and prime consultant/project management. We have performed work in the industrial, commercial, healthcare, institutional, and multi-residential sectors. We have considerable experience in existing buildings where retrofits are required to bring the building up to date and provide energy savings for our clients.

RoMar considers the mechanical engineer a vital member of the design and construction team; and we enjoy being a part of that team.

The company has been serving the building industry since 2000 and has earned a reputation for unique and personalized designs and services.
